PieceMaker™ works with round and square material, covering most hand-rail applications. Programming can be done at the machine or in an office with network connectivity using PieceMaker™ Office Edition. This is particularly helpful for companies without engineering resources who are just interested in making pieces from sketches or supplied prints. Many of our customers fit into this category. PieceMaker Pro™ not only creates geometry and G-Code, it handles other aspects of running the machine like torch control, lift management, loading, and part nesting. Generally anyone involved in the industry who is adept at reading prints or who can sketch the desired structure with a pencil can program accurate circular cross-section parts (tube and pipe) without an additional CAM package. Although the needs of most handrail and structural personnel are covered, PieceMaker Pro™ does have some limitations to the kind of geometry it will create. In addition, structural material such as angle iron, C-channel and custom profiles are generally supported but require more user interaction. SigmaTUBE operates inside the SolidWorks®™ environment. It retains high functionality for Inventor®™ and other 3D modeling packages. Tekla and SDS2 have various levels of support with this package. If you are looking to use either of these packages please have a detailed discussion with EMI’s engineering group. We can arrange for an on-line demonstration of SigmaTUBE so you can see how it interfaces with your chosen software. Contact your sales engineer or EMI to schedule. We have two SigmaTube Software Packages available: One for SolidWorks users and one for non-SolidWorks users. It would be our recommendation that the customer purchase a FULL SolidWorks license if they do not currently have one. This can be purchased directly from their local SolidWorks representative (not available for purchase through EMI or SigmaTEK). However if the customer and sales representative determine that they will not require a FULL SolidWorks license, we have a SigmaTUBE option available with a limited OEM SolidWorks Bundle SPECIFICATIONS AND CONDITION ARE CORRECT TO THE BEST OF OUR KNOWLEDGE AND ARE SUBJECT TO YOUR VERIFICATION AND CORRECTION.
