Accuracy through precision die alignment is assured through the K-Series interlocked construction design. Cylinders are mounted to large, keyed backing plates which, in turn, are interlocked to the side housings to provide true centerline loading. Bed loads are transmitted to the frame by accurately fitted, large diameter bearing blocks which provide maximum bearing surface for downward as well as upward, or stripping, loads.
The K-Series also provides the fastest, most accurate Ram leveling response available through the use of a unique, servo amplifier level control system. This advanced system allows for extremely accurate repeatability. It senses and automatically corrects variations in Ram level with overall machine level accuracy measured in thousandths of an inch.
Fast set-ups are a key to high production and the K-Series controls are designed to simplify and shorten the set-up procedure. A special keyed mode selector switch provides the choice of four types of ram control for all types of press operations. The K-Series hydraulic system also permits the selection of one or more speeds during the down stroke. Stroke length and speed change settings can be adjusted quickly by means of slide-type controls conveniently mounted on the right end of the ram.
The choice of advance speeds combined with a high return speed and adjustable stroke settings gives the K-Series its capability for consistent high production performance. K-Series press brakes are available in the 175 through 2000 ton capacities and larger with bed lengths ranging from 6 to 40 feet.
