Pacific G-Series hydraulic plate shears are designed and built to provide all of the ruggedness, reliability, and accuracy that can be built into a shear. Every aspect of shearing technology has been carefully considered from design concept to the finished product. As a result, every G-Series has the capability to accurately shear a full range of material thickness, from thin gauge material to maximum capacity, with minimum distortion and optimum edge condition.
Shearing accuracy is assured by rigid, interlocked construction and the exclusive "Vee" bed design, which provides maximum resistance to the deflections of torsional as well as vertical and horizontal forces that develop during the cut. The rigid Vee design places the main resisting member on the diagonal to counteract the resultant direction of the cutting forces and to make possible consistent knife clearance over the length of the shear.
Along with a rigid and stable structure, the G-Series provides the shear operator with complete independent control over all shearing variables including rake angle, knife clearance, stroke length, backgauge, and holddowns. By utilizing simple adjustment controls the operator can accommodate the requirements of almost any shearing operation and maintain maximum production efficiency and optimum edge condition.
Two Speed Shearing is standard on all G-Series shears. This feature is especially valuable to the shear user who does not use the shear to its full rated capacity at all times. The faster shearing time for lighter materials can also be a time saving benefit for numerous short run production jobs. Conversely, the G-Series cannot be overloaded due to higher or over capacity material. When an over capacity situation is encountered, Pacific's hydraulic relief valve system automatically stops the ram before any damage can occur. Upon releasing the footswitch the ram will return to the top of the stroke.
G-Series shears are available in 3/8", ½", ¾", 1", 1 ¼", 1 ½", and 1 ¾" capacities with lengths from 6' to 20' and longer.
