D Series Press
These presses represent a major development in providing improved versatility, controllability, and production efficiency in metal stamping applications through modern hydraulic press technology. The two-point hydraulic D-Series Straightside presses have been designed for heavy punching, blanking, and drawing applications. Because of their rugged Steel upright Columns, Adjustable 8-way square type gibbing, large bolster areas, generous open height, and full power strokes they are equally suited to; notching, multiple punching, coining, and embossing operations.
The D is equipment with a Pendant mounted, P.L.C. Interface control (Allen Bradley 600 Panel View with color screen) to provide minimum set-up time and maximum flexibility. Tonnage is programmed directly through the control.
Each press is equipped with a compact, high-speed hydraulic system enabling fast cycle speeds that can equal or surpass those of mechanically presses of comparable size. The power unit provides three advance speeds and a fast return speed. Other hydraulic features include automatic cylinder synchronization, precise slide parallelism under off-center loading conditions, and automatic decompression. Additionally, the large double acting cylinders provide bonus support to cushion the break-though shock of heavy plate punching with resulting improvements in punch and die life and work quality.
D-Series Straightside presses are designed to be application oriented. The rugged, reinforced bed is connected to the Columns by means of inter-locking wedge keys which permit forces to be transmitted through the parent metal rather than through bolts, tie rods, or welds. Generous openings between the columns allow access to the die area from all four sides and permit ready adaptability to continuous automated feeding systems.
The large box-type slide is guided by Pacific's adjustable 8-point square-type gibbing, to assure maximum bearing contact with long non-metallic gib surfaces. Slide clearance adjustments can be made quickly and easily without the use of shims to maintain tight gib clearances for accurate alignment and guiding of the slide during punching, blanking, and forming applications.
Other standard features include; keyed mode selection with the pendant mounted P.L.C. Interface Control, two-handed control, Programmable tonnage control, through the P.L.C. Interface Control, pressure reversal, and automatic centralized lubrication system.
Pacific's D-Series Straightside presses are designed to offer maximum industrial durability, performance and versatility. Presses are available in capacities of 150, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 750, and 1000 tons and a wide variety of bed lengths and widths. (Larger Tonnage sizes are available upon request.)
